Some Walt's Jewelers History
In 1956, H. Walt Odom Sr. founded what was then called Walt's Jewel Box, and was located in Mammoth, Arizona. Eight years later, in 1962, the store was relocated to Kearny, Arizona, using the new name of Walt's Jewelers.
Samuel, Walt's son, began working in the Kearny store in 1973, and started purchasing the business from his father in 1975. In 1984, Sam decided to move the store to Chandler, a city on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. Walt's Jewelers, was located on the southwest corner of Ray and Alma School Roads, in Chandler, Arizona, for approximately 16 years. With the new millenium came time for another move, to the northwest corner of Ray and Alma School Roads, in Chandler, Arizona. At the end of 2007, we moved to our current location in Gilbert, Arizona. Gilbert is also on in the Phoenix metropolitan area, and borders with Chandler, Arizona as well as Mesa, Arizona.
Walt's Jewelers is still owned and operated by Samuel and his wife, Melissa.
